One maker, one hook, no assembly line
Crafted By Cate started with a single ball of yarn and a bag made for a friend who kept getting stopped and asked where she got it. It is still one person with one hook: every bag is crocheted, shaped and finished by the same hands, which is why nothing here is mass produced.
Working this way takes time and it is honest to say it. You wait while your bag is made, and only a handful are ever in progress at once. What you get for that is a bag with no two exactly alike, worked in a way that holds its shape, and a maker who cares that it looks as good in a year as it does the day it arrives.
